The idea behind Smart Retur became a reality in 2012 when we rebranded from Waba and redefined our strategy. When plastic pallets first enabled a closed value chain, we saw an opportunity that no one else did—to develop a similar system for wooden pallets. This approach allowed for more efficient handling while significantly reducing both costs and emissions.
